Kate Buckley and her daughters Maeve and Bliz are back in Shamrock for the summer, and Kate has a big decision to make: Should they relocate to her Irish-themed hometown for good? As she weighs the pros and cons, the Buckley House B&B and every other business in town are preparing for the Great Shamrock Fair. Behind Kate’s back, her sister Colleen signs up Bliz for the Little Miss Shamrock competition, to follow in her footsteps. But Kate really sees green when she learns her ex-husband—and Maeve’s deadbeat dad—is on his way to Shamrock from across the pond. Ian and his Irish band Peat will take the stage as last-minute replacements for the ailing Limerick Lads.
Kate dreads an awkward reunion, especially after the band books the last hotel rooms in town—at the Buckley House. But Kate’s troubles have just begun. She has a new case to solve when Fallon O’ Malley, Peat’s manager and Ian’s posh new fiancée, is found stabbed with a butter-sculpture knife behind the main music tent—and Ian is accused of murder.
